Constructing God: Part 2, Decision

Israel's 12 tribes have split: 2 remain loyal to King Rehoboam, son of Solomon, but the other 10, now called Israel, have set up a king of their own. Jeroboam, son of Nebat, former official of Solomon. Jeroboam came to the throne easily. He was prophesied to rule by Ahijah, installed by acclamation, and God even offered him the same promises made to King David, if he obeyed God. he didn't go through the hard testing that David went through as a hunted outlaw. So, what will this new "David" do with the opportunities God has lavished on him?
