Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over israel…as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam…He went and served Baal, and worshipped him. Ahaziah the son of Ahab…did that which was evil…in the way of Jeroboam…Jehoram son of Ahab…evil…held to the sins of Jeroboam…Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel. However, Jehu didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam…the golden calves…Jehoahaz son of Jehu…evil…followed the sins of Jeroboam…Jehoash son of Jehoahaz…evil…didn’t depart from all the sins of Jeroboam…Jeroboam son of Joash…evil…sins of Jeroboam…Zechariah son of Jeroboam…evil…sins of Jeroboam…Menahem son of Gadi…evil…sins of Jeroboam. …Pekahiah his son reigned in his place…evil…Sins of Jeroboam…Hoshea son of Elah began to reign…did that which was evil…Yet not as the Kings of Israel who were before him.
In the ninth year of Hoshea the King of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria…The children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam…They didn’t depart from them until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he said by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria, to this day.
